Here are some shots of our new oven - a Moffat E35 Electric Convection Oven with steam. Its purchase and installation was made possible by a United Thank Offering grant, for which we are very grateful. It’s perfect for breads like Sourdough, where the steam makes an amazing crust; then without the steam, it bakes Friendship Bread, Banana Nut Bread and the like perfect all the way through and 60 loaves at a time! It holds up to 6 full-sized sheet pans and when we take the hot pans full of bread from the oven, we slide them into the slots below for cooling. And yes, that is Minge you see reflected in the oven – she can’t seem to stay too far away!
